Two of my best-selling hat knitting patterns, Nordic Lace Hat and Autumn Gold, sold together in a neat little pattern bundle. Nordic Lace Hat is a beanie pattern worked in DK yarn using a simple lace repeat that is both addictive and easily memorised. Autumn Gold is more of a lightweight hat, designed in 4ply (fingering) yarn using a feather and fan pattern with delicate cables, making this a hat suitable for warmer evenings and the turn of the seasons. A slouch or beanie version is available.
As I wanted to be inclusive of beginner knitters and more experienced crafters, both patterns are written to be knitted flat on two needles and sewn up later, or worked in the round on double pointed needles or circulars.
Autumn Gold ~ 4ply Lace Cable Hat
I love knitting with fingering yarn and really liked the drape from Fyberspates Scrumptious 4ply. I’d wanted to design some 4ply lace hat knitting patterns for a while as it can sometimes get quite chilly between seasons in England and I wanted something light. After stroking the yarn for weeks Autumn Gold was finally born and still remains one of my favourite hats.

Nordic Lace Hat DK Lace Hat Knitting Pattern
Nordic Lace Hat was one of my first lace hat knitting patterns when I ventured into the world of design in 2012. As with Autumn Gold, I purchased the yarn first before deciding what to make with it. I settled on this Nordic Lace pattern as I found it really fun to knit and felt it suitable for beginners.
