Nordic Lace Cowl

Knitting Pattern

Nordic Lace Cowl Knitting PatternThis cowl came about after the Nordic Lace Hat – I bought two skeins and they were just crying out to be made into a set! This is a fun lace pattern that is easily memorised after a few repeats.  The cowl is long enough to wear once round (below) or to twist up around your neck, like in the photo above.

The yarn used for this cowl was Manos Del Uruguay Silk Blend.  This stuff is seriously so soft and squidgy I couldn’t bear to leave it in the shop.  It seems to work particularly well with lace, hence this set! I love the way that the hand dye can be seen subtley when the cowl is laid out flat.

Buy the whole set – Nordic Lace Hat, Mitts and Cowl for only £8.00 in a neat mini e-book!

I used less than 200g of DK yarn to make all three of these, the hat and mitts with 100g, and the other skein for the cowl. The yarn goes such a long way in this pattern 🙂
