Worked in Erika Knight’s ‘Vintage Wool’, this unisex bobble hat is made up of knit, slip and cabled stitches to create a warm, woven-look fabric.
As the hat is made with worsted weight yarn, this knits up reasonably quickly on 5mm (US 8 ) needles, and the pattern is written and charted.
I have worked the decreases into the cables, so the pattern flows nicely all the way up to the top.
The pompom adds a fun touch, however it can be omitted if you’re after something a little more minimal.
