A super cosy, unisex pair of mittens you could knit up in a weekend if you have some free time. This cabled mittens knitting pattern is much easier than it looks and the result is really snug. These have become a firm favourite for me along with the matching hat.
Suitable for men and women, these mittens are worked on 4.5mm (UK 7/US 7) or 5mm (UK 6/US 8) needles, depending on the size required.
With four sizes ranging from 19-25.5cm (7.5-10in) circumference there should be a mitten size to fit everyone.
Sadly Erika Knight Vintage Wool (photographed) is no longer available. However, a good substitute would be Jamieson’s of Shetland Aran, available in an array of beautiful dyed and undyed shades.
The stitch pattern is really simple to pick up, therefore this a great pattern for intermediate beginner knitters.
